Samson et Dalila at the Metropolitan Opera

Camille Saint-Saëns's Samson et Dalila brings biblical drama, sweeping melodies, and one of opera's most celebrated mezzo-soprano roles to the stage. The opera follows the conflict between Samson and Dalila, with the intimate seduction scene set against the monumental destruction of the Philistine temple. Its best-known music includes Dalila's aria “Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix” and the Bacchanale.

The Metropolitan Opera is presenting this production at Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center from November 27 through December 1, 2026, with December 1 marking the final listed performance. This New York engagement offers opera fans a chance to experience the work in one of the city's defining performing-arts settings. Venue and Seating Information

The Metropolitan Opera House is part of Lincoln Center, New York's major performing-arts campus on the Upper West Side. Its large auditorium is designed for opera, with seating arranged across multiple levels. For a balanced view of the stage and a strong sense of the production's scale, compare central seats in the orchestra and front sections of the tiers; the best choice depends on budget, preferred distance, and availability.

Seats toward the sides or at the rear may offer a more angled or distant view, while upper levels can provide a broad perspective of the staging. Review the specific seat location before purchase, particularly if clear views of facial expression and stage detail are a priority.

Parking Information

Parking around Lincoln Center can be busy on performance evenings. Options in the area include:

• Lincoln Center parking facilities, subject to availability and posted rates.
• Commercial garages in the surrounding Upper West Side and Columbus Circle area; rates and hours vary by location.
• Street parking, where permitted, subject to New York City signs, meters, and restrictions.

Allow extra time to park and walk to the opera house, especially during peak arrival periods. Confirm current garage locations, rates, and restrictions directly before traveling, as pricing and availability can change.
